The Children of the Revolution This is a new play by acclaimed Cork writer Raymond Scannell. It marks the centenary of the 1916 Rising by focusing on its aftermath and the generation that inherited independence.

click In particular, the play looks at the extraordinary stories of two of the children of the revolutionaries, Máire MacSwiney Brugha (only child of Terence MacSwiney) and Ruairí Brugha (son of Cathal Brugha). Like Máire and Ruairí we are left to piece together the truths of the events.
